MY STORY · CALIFORNIA
I’ve always believed in possibility.
After 45 years as a psychologist, I picked up a paintbrush at 75. I’m still learning what it can show me.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
For a long time, my work was about people.
I spent 45 years as a psychologist. I listened to people talk about who they were, who they hoped to become, and the turns they never expected their lives to take. That work stayed with me.
At 75, I decided to try painting. I had never thought of myself as an artist. I began anyway. Oil paint became my favorite, and a new part of my life opened up.
The opportunity is there to change your mind. You can.
I hope my paintings bring someone a little pleasure, a little color, maybe a place they want to return to. I also hope they make room for a bigger thought: it is never too late to try something new.

HOW I SEE
Some places stay with me. Others arrive from imagination.
I am drawn to landscapes, but I do not need to record every detail. A color, a shape, or the feeling of a place can be enough to begin. Then I let the painting take its own direction.
